Q. Do I need to make an appointment to try on wedding gowns?

A. Lily's Bridal is an "appointment preferred but walk-ins welcome" boutique. Appointments are always recommended on Saturdays in order for us to give you the attention deserved.

Q. What should I bring to my appointment?

A. Bring photos of pictures you've seen on our website and in magazines. Most importantly bring your open mind and don't be surprised if you find "your gown" on the first visit.

Q. Can I take pictures when I try on gowns?

A. We do not mind you taking a picture of the dress you are considering purchasing. However, we caution you to not share, share, share in case this photo finds its way to your groom and along its way you have lost the "Wow" effect when you are seen for the first time in your wedding gown.

Q. How do alterations work?

A. We always try to concentrate on helping you find the perfect gown that requires minimal alterations. However, 99% of all gowns will still require some fine tuning. We do not physically alter the gowns "in-house" and we don't have any required alteration packages, which means you only pay for what you need to have done. Our recommended seamstresses have expertise and all of the bells and whistles at their fingertips to achieve your perfect fit.

Q. When should I order my wedding dress?

A. Please give yourself at least 6 to 8 months in advance!

Q. What are my payment options?

A. A 50% deposit on the full price is required before any gown is ordered for you. Full payment is required upon arrival of the gown and prior to any alterations.

Q. What size gowns are available for me to try on?

A. Lily's Bridal believes "in real women sizing". To that effect we carry sizes ranging from 6 to 26 along with a variety of silhouettes to appeal to all brides.

Q. Will you ship my gown or my bridesmaids gowns?

A. Absolutely! We can ship anywhere in Canada, with shipping fees applied.Type your paragraph here.

Q. What is the price range of your wedding gowns?

A. Our wedding gowns range from $500 to $2300. Our brides typically spend between $1000 to $1500. Bridesmaid gowns vary from $190 to $300 and those are also available in either white or diamond.

Q. How long does it take to order my wedding gown?

A. Any wedding apparel ordered can take anywhere from 12 to 20 weeks depending on the designer. Do not stress out if your wedding is in less than 3 months - we have our on-going "off the rack" specials and you could always purchase one of our many floor samples.

Q. Are alterations included?

A. Alterations are NOT included in the cost of any gown purchased at Lily's Bridal.

Q. When should I start my alterations?

A. It depends on the type of alterations that are required. Usually there may be two or three fittings needed. That is why we recommend starting 1 to 2 months before the event. Work with your seamstress on these details and any other special requirements.

Q. What is the price range for alterations?

A. Price is dependent on the type of alterations. Professional seamstresses can range in pricing, starting from $30 to $300. We suggest that you be realistic about the type of alteration versus price of that alteration.

Q. Can I complete the entire look in only one appointment?

A. Absolutely. We believe in the "no surprises rule". All accessories working together to complete the perfect picture before your wedding day. On overload just choosing your gown. No worries, we offer accessory appointments to chose the perfect look.

Q. What is a special-order gown?

A. Most of the gowns we sell are special order. A special order gown is made specifically for you by a designer, based on their pattern (European Sizing) which is closest to your measurement as possible. Your seamstress then fits it to your body type for the perfect fit.
